ABOUT COLLEGE
Meenakshi College of Nursing is an Educational Institution managed by S.R. Trust, a public charitable trust registered (Reg. No. 291/85) in 1985. It is an unit of the well-reputed Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre (MMHRC), a 1000-bed multispecialty hospital that renders 'world-class healthcare at affordable prices' for more than 30 years. MMHRC is a landmark institution that follows a unique model of offering world-class medical treatment to the people of South Tamil Nadu, irrespective of their affordability. MMHRC also floats charity programmes that offers medical assistance to the poor and the needy.
MMHRC is also a well-known teaching institute, recognised by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi for its Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) training program for Medical Under Graduates and by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi for its Post-Graduate Medical Courses.
Following this, MMHRC now offers the B.Sc Nursing programme for nursing aspirants under its Meenakshi College of Nursing, an approved institution by the Government of Tamil Nadu (G.O.(Ms).No. 261 dated 26.07.2017). Meenakshi College of Nursing is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and Tamil Nadu Nurses’ and Midwives‘ Council. The College aims at training professional nurses to deliver quality nursing care to individuals, families and groups, not only in health care institutions but also in homes and community and to participate in nursing administration, teaching and research.
